As the elections loom ever closer, we have introduced a revolutionary new way of canvassing opinion using the internet.

This doesnt in any way replace knocking on doors - that is always the best method as it means speaking to people directly, however it is a way of allowing people to communicate with us at any time.

Very often when we go out on the doorsteps, people arent in or it is inconvenient. This way people can let us know their thoughts at their own conveninence.

Dear residents,

I am writing to you regarding a planning application 08/00787/FUL submitted to build 9 detached residential dwellings following the demolition of 24 Lancaster Lane , Clayton-Le-Woods.

In response to this issue I am asking you to do two things.

Firstly may I thank everyone that has voted for me in recent local election . Unfortunately I was unsuccesful but it doesn't change a thing as I will continue to strive on campaigning for the people of Clayton-Le-Woods North.

During this election campaign it?s been made clear to me that many people believe our area doesn?t receive its fair share of resources from Chorley Borough Council eg . Street Cleaning , playgrounds , litter and facilities for young people are not good.

It is for that reason I am asking you to do three things:

. Campaigned against Wainhomes most recent planning application 605 Preston Road

. Currently campaigning to Chorley Borough Council asking them to organise their rubbish collection to leave less rubbish on our roads.

. Campaigned to try and get Lancashire County Council to do something about the speed of traffic on Westwood Road

. Organised a petition and campaigned to Chorley Borough Council asking them to clean up the litter on Wood End Road

. Campaigned with Lindsay Hoyle MP for traffic calming measures on Wood End Road at the top end and been succesful.

. Campaigned with Lindsay Hoyle MP for to have all estate roads in Clayton-le-woods & Whittle-Le- Woods made 20mph speed limit without the expense or inconvenience of traffic calming measures.

. Campaigned to Tarmac with previous editor Karen Martyniuk to ask them to clean up their act regarding the recycling site.

I am sorry to be troubling you again. I feel everyone must be contacted again about a re submitted planning application at 54 Lancaster Lane Clayton-le-woods. Wainhomes who want to develop this site have put in a new application. In response I am asking you to :

Lancaster Lane appeal

Dear residents,

You may remember a short time ago , a previous campaign special about a proposed housing development by Wainhomes on Lancaster Lane. Fortunatly Chorley Borough Council rejected both of the applications but Wainhomes decided to appeal against the decision for the housing development proposal for 54 Lancaster Lane.

I am asking you to visit the downloads page and download a letter to send by post or email to the planning inspectorate asking them to reject the appeal.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SEND THREE COPIES AS THE PLANNING INSPECTORATE REQUIRES 3 COPIES.
